The water was boiling in a worn kettle, but no one seemed to notice. A dim of disappointment was floating in the air. They were all gathered in the kitchen, the whole family. Not a word had been said the last ten minutes. Everybody were hoping that some one would break the awkward silence, but no one did. It did not bother her though. She caused the silence. She said the words that made everybody shut up for a minute or two. So she thought anyway. Now they had not said word for ten and a half minutes. New record! This was more than she had ever hoped for.

A fly was about to end its life in a lamp. Inside of her, a new life was about to begin.

I photograph, but I am no photographer. I write, but I am no writer. I was once a musician lost along the way. Life is too short to hide these things I cannot live without.
